I listen, act and assist
I believe in honoring everyone’s unique differences as it allows for growth and increased knowledge. My job as a therapist is to support your healing and renewal when you’ve been stunned, wounded, or overwhelmed. For over 20 years, I have worked with clients of all ages, ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds, with a wide range of concerns including depression, adolescent/adult anxiety, abuse, trauma, ADHD, relationship issues, substance use, and career challenges. My therapeutic approach focuses on empowering and encouraging individuals through evidence based social work treatment modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral, Motivational and Psychodynamic Therapy.
I provide virtual visits with evening and weekend hours. During our initial session you can expect me to provide support and empathy as I gather information, reinforce your positive coping skills and encourage you to build confidence. Throughout our therapeutic relationship I will provide you with new strategies and techniques to help decrease stressors and undesirable feelings. I view therapy as a collaborative process. We will explore feelings, cognitive process and behavior. I invite you to bring up situations that you would like to explore and change. I will provide you with tools, knowledge, skills and motivation to create the desirable change that you would like. I have created a culture in my practice that includes a place at the table, understanding, and belonging for all people.
